Mica Slim LED
- Shallow depth - Round luminaire with grey painted aluminium frame or stainless steel frame - Frosted for guidance and semi-frosted glass for illumination - Domed window versions for size SS, S and A (1,2 or 8 windows) - Colours: White (3000K/6000K) or blue for all 4 sizes - RGB version for the Mica Slim A and I
QBA LED
A compact and powerful floodlight for outdoor wall washing and offset illumination. Based on the QBA size2 body, the QBA LED completes the current conventional QBA range and includes efficient LEDs providing intensive light beam, allowing the use the exiting QBA accessories. Indeed, the refractors 555V and 555H design the beam and create horizontal or vertical light distributions. ![]()
Quattro LED
- Recessed LED luminaire designed specifically for 600/625mm2 exposed grid ceilings - Fit & forget installation: the CREE LED light source will last about 16 years in a typical office environment - Reduces energy consumption by about 20% compared to a 4x14W T16 solution - A row of Quattro LED fittings will have the same colour temperature, where most other - LED fittings will have variations of colour temperature - CRI of 92, allowing for good task performance under demanding circumstances - Choice of opal diffuser or MPT (Micro Prism Technology) optic, the MPT optic improves visual appearance and comfort of the lighting scheme
Cruz 160 LED
Thorn has developed a high-lumen output LED version of its already successful Cruz downlight – an important step which, according to the company’s product manager, Hans-Georg Schmidt, will completely change people’s thinking about general lighting. The new downlight outperforms compact fluorescent (CFL) in terms of energy efficiency and quality of light from a third smaller aperture. In two colour versions – 3000K and 4000K – the units produce 2,000 lumens, with only 6% optical losses. Operating at 37W and 34W respectively, with a system efficacy of up to 55 lm/watt, they are comparable with a 2 x 26W CFL downlight. The use of a remote yellow phosphor lens within a sophisticated optic gives glare-free light (UGR < 19) with consistent colour performance (Ra ≥80). It’s silent active cooling technology, wherby a rapid oscillating membrane pulses turbulent air across the LED module’s cooling fins, combats any conductive heat issues associated with using high power LEDs indoors. Cruz LED is DALI dimmable and delivers 100% instant light with a rated life of 50,000 hours (70% lumen maintenance), which is five times that of a CFL. "What the Cruz LED does", says Schmidt, "is open up a whole new range of possibilities for commercial and retail lighting. Previously LEDs were mainly used indoors for localised lighting, such as corridors or areas with low ceilings. The new ratings make solid-state lighting a viable alternative for those seeking smaller, more elegant alternatives to compact fluorescent in general spaces." A patented ‘sec-lock’ holding arm facilitates a fast tool-free connection, thus saving contractors time and cost. There are also three attachments, ranging from the frosted glass ring to an IP54 glass or anti-harm cover. Bezels are white, chrome or grey. Complementary emergency lighting can be provided using Voyager LED modules.
Glacier II LED
A small and neat LED pendant, with a choice of 2 different light sources. - 12W LED version, with its Ra index of 94 is suitable for applications such as bar, restaurants, hotel areas, counter lighting, reception and wellness areas - 20W LED version offering 1000 Lumen and Low Bay distribution works well in "higher output areas" like retail, shops and counters - No UV-IR radiation - 20W comes with a choice of warm or cool white light - Consistent colour temperature through restricted binning, 80% less electricity than incandescent lamps and will last up to 30,000 hours For more information, please visit the Glacier II microsite.
D-CO LED
A new, practical dimension to the display scene To help electrical contractors meet the increasing demands for LED display and accent lighting, Thorn has brought out D-CO LED. Competitively priced, the luminaire range combines quality with simplicity of installation and operation, plus all the benefits of eco-friendly LED technology. There are six “families” of fittings, spearheaded by fixed and multi-directional recessed downlights. With a choice of three or six high brightness Osram 1.2W LEDs – combined with 15°, 24° or 35° beam spreads – the downlights, which have an aluminium heat sink body, are going places! Just great as a replacement for 20-35W MR16 halogen fittings, retail lighting or where maintenance is an issue. In similar vein is a tiny (40mm diameter) version with one LED, which will prove a boon for guidance or effect lighting. Emphasising the 1.2W LED’s small size and high light output efficiency, Thorn has put it to another exciting use – as a spotlight! The LED head is mounted on a sleek stem projecting from a 60mm diameter surface plate. It’s a great light for working or selling by. Read or write by it, or use it to provide intimate pools of light in a glazed display cabinet! D-CO LED downlights and spotlights are also sold in a clever kit form, ready-wired for supply; all that’s needed is a quick snap-to of the cables from the driver and – voila: a string of light! Equally exciting is a 116 mm square recessed wall light. Combining a 1.6W LED with an asymmetric reflector enables a wash of light to be achieved. Ideal for corridors and stairways, as well as entrances. Within each family there is a choice of warm or cool white light, so that the colour appearance can be matched to the needs of the application. Finish is Titan grey or natural anodised aluminium for the wall light. D-CO LED offers users consistent colour temperature through restricted binning, 80% less electricity than incandescent lamps and lasts up to 50,000 hours. The new range is aimed at contractors who deal with shops and offices. It looks equally good in bars, hotels and restaurants, as well as the domestic market and a wide variety of other situations where a neat, versatile and easy-to-operate lighting system is essential. |
