Thorn Academy of Light
Thorn Lighting's Academy of Light (TAL) has been established to provide harmonised company-wide education and training, firstly for employees but eventually for customers too.
The company attaches great importance to training and believes in the need to create public awareness of the varied career opportunities it offers.
The vision is to create places where Thorn employees and customers can learn and experience lighting, focussing on specific products, applications and techniques.
Currently the Thorn Academy of Light operates on a decentralised basis, but will shortly establish itself in a dedicated centre at Spennymoor, northeast England, with a satellite in Les Andelys, France devoted to outdoor lighting.
